If you have never heard of Shibari you will have at least heard of the term "Bondage" (See Article).
Shibari is said to have ancient Japanese origins dating back between 1400 and 1700.
The main pivot focuses on knots, each has a different meaning but all have origins from Hojo-jutsu, the martial art of prisoner restraint.
Initially these practices were only for the purpose of torture, in fact they were adopted in a brutal manner to the detriment of prisoners.
Only with the passage of time did Shibari take its place in the sexual scenario as well.
Instead of prisoners in this case one or more figures are immobilized, always completely consenting, and have different body parts tied up and in different sexual positions.
We will then find the authority figure usually called "Master" who will direct everything: binding, knots and all that will be the Shibari practice.
The person who will allow himself to be immobilized instead most of the time is called "Slave."
When we talk about these sexual forms that may sound more violent, there is actually a concept of absolute trust: the person or persons rely completely on their partner.
There are those who like to feel pain and those who like to be simply immobilized, these are personal tastes.
In this case we can talk about Bondage, which is part of BDSM.
